The AVL sensor GR15D is a combustion pressure sensor that features a special Double Shell™ design and thermally optimized piezoelectric crystal elements. These are two of the reasons why it is the industry benchmark in size M5 for standard research and development tasks with maximum vibration.
Thanks to its M3 connector, this M5-size indicating sensor has a slim form factor while retaining its robustness and accuracy. This makes it especially suited to engines with high vibrations. It also contains an improved internal design of the measurement cell and charge output.
Using thermo-protection like PH08 can improve the cyclic drift by 0.4 bar. Furthermore, this combustion sensor can be equipped with a sensor identification cable (SIC) for sensor data management (SDM).
