Fuel cell technologies come in a range of varieties, and we develop Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) and Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) systems. The preferred fuel for PEMFC systems is hydrogen, which currently makes it the technology of choice for the automotive industry. SOFC systems can use nearly all conventional fossil fuels or future biofuels, such as GTL (gas-to-liquid), BTL (biomass-to-liquid) and bio-methane. For e-mobility they are ideal for range extender and APU (auxiliary power unit) applications.
Our experience has enabled us to develop PEMFC systems with high power densities and improved efficiency. This is achieved using optimized components and system control strategies. Marrying the unique performance with the compact size of our SOFC APU technology results in a flexible offering for a wide range of applications.
